A Weekend Get-a-Way

Rebekah has been asking us when we were going to go up and visit her in Rexburg. Being her last semester there we had to find time to do it before things with school and work got to busy. This last weekend we went to see her. We left right after work on Friday and got to Rigby, where we met her, at about 7:30p. We went to the Riot Zone. There was a Young Adult Institute Activity going on so we got in for FREE! We did the Go Carts and Played Miniture Golf. IT WAS COLD!!! But what's new?

We spent the Night at Kim's House, Bekah's friend, and played with these adorable kittens.

Saturday morning we went to the Temple. The Rexburg Temple is a lot like the Oquirrh Mountain Temple but is still its own unique temple.

We ate a yummy breakfast when we got back, then we went and saw my former roommate Katherine. Dan and Katherine just moved back to Rexburg so Dan can take classes to prepare himself for PA School. They have 2 adorable little girls and it was fun to see her.

We then took Steven around BYU-I Campus. Things have really changed since I have been there. Some of the buildings are the same but others are completely different. The MC has completely changed. New Bookstore, New Crossroads (eating area) are the 2 biggest changes. They are also building a beautiful Conference Center.

We went to the Greenhouse's

And of course we had to get a picture next to one of the BYU-I signs.

After wondering around campus we headed to Green Canyon Hot Springs. It's a swimming/hot tub place completely heated by hot springs. It's kind of a hole-in-the-wall but it was fun.

The Swimming Pool

The Hot Tub

Driving Back to Rexburg we passed these beautiful fields and had to stop to take pictures.

Attempted Jumping Picture, with the timer

We had more success when Steven took the picture

Later that evening we went to Idaho Falls and spent the night at Aunt Lori's and then left for home Sunday morning. It was a short trip but FUN!
